1Challenge

Getting ready for the European Accessibility Act

With the European Accessibility Act coming into force in 2025, UNICEF Germany wanted to evaluate its website and understand where to improve.

2Assessment

Manual and automated, designers and developers

We ran a collaborative accessibility test: designers and developers manually assessed the key pages, while automated tests checked individual components.

3Reporting

Making issues visible, and fixable

Findings were documented visually: every issue was highlighted directly on the page, explained, and paired with a concrete solution the team could act on.

4Outcome

Better colours, fewer barriers, less rework later

The assessment led to concrete website enhancements, including refined colour choices in UNICEF Germany's design system.

Evaluating early meant issues could be resolved before they spread, reducing future development effort.
